9th UIR Lesson
This lesson is quite interesting because we get to evaluate about a website that talks a lot on Singapore be it minister, people, shopping or anything under the sun about Singapore.
It was a challenge for me to evalauate on this website. But to me, when I surf the website, it is an eye-opener for me because the people who create and post the topics are all Singaporean. It is like hinting us about the "bad/ugly" side of Singapore.
Those who publish the topic thought it is funny but on the other hand, it is very disgraceful to show the "ugly" side of Singapore. They can even make fun of the Prime Minister, President and other "important" people.
After much research and exploring about the website, I discovered that the website have a good background and also the layout of the page is also neat and organize. Overall, it is a good website to surf as we can relax our mind when we have a busy period or we feel stress.
How would I react to this website if I were A Foreigner working/studying in Singapore:If I were a foreigner, I will be laughing out loud because it is an additional information about Singapore that I will get to know. Without this website, I won't get to know the "bad/ugly" side of Singapore as they only post all the "good" side of Singapore everywhere. I will also be laughing at all the Singaporean because the people who post are all Singaporean.
Singaporean people are too dumb that what they post are all about Singapore and it reflects themselves.
In this lesson, I get to learn about a website that have the "ugly" side of Singapore. It is good for me to learn how disgraceful can a Singaporean people be. I think that this website should stop because it is attracting people all around the world to laugh at us.

8th UIR Lesson - UIR-Rawkz Wiki
It has been a rushing week about project submission. When it comes to UIR lesson, it is more hectic because project submission is more rushing.
It is a good website for us to post about our topics that we have researched on. In this WIKI website, it is good to learn about the summary that people post on different topics. We will get to learn about other people's opinion and we can benefit from it.
It is an easy tools for us to post our topics in it. As I am new to the Wiki, it is difficult for me to explore the tools that is installed in it. But with my determination, I get to learn a lot about the Wiki, tools that I can use when I post my topics and many more.
Lesson that I have learnt during this lesson is that, I get to know more about the opinion of other people who did the same topic as me. It is a good learning experience as I get to expose myself in this website and learn more about other topics in this website.

7th UIR Lesson - My Dream Holiday
Hi everyone.. Today's lesson is all about my dream holiday. Which country to go for my holiday and why do I go to that country..
Basically, my dream holiday is to Dubai. Dubai is a great country and it is worth going there. There are a lot of great and historical places to visit and plenty of activites to get me occupied during my holiday there. On top of that, the currency there is much higher. Therefore, we will gain from it. But we must take note that even though their currencies is higher, shopping there is very expensive and the accommodation is also expensive.
People thinks that Dubai country is boring as they only have sands and desert. But now, Dubai have transformed themselves to be one of the richest country in the world. From a desert country, it is now a well-developed country for tourist to visit and a competitive country.
Here are some places I wish to visit:
This is the Jumeriah Beach. It is so cool to go there as I can experience my time there with the other tourists all around the world. Everything is provided along the beach ranging from toilet, showers, snacks and many more. The beach is also cultivated with coconut and palm trees, as well as roses. This will make me feel at ease and relaxing when I am at the beach.
This pictures is the Dubai Creek. It is a historical place in Dubai history. I can take the abra(small water taxi) and view the old trading port and the dhows from the water. It will be a great experience when I board the abra. There will be a lot for me to learn on Dubai history and with this activity, it will be easier for me to get to know the history of Dubai.
The Grand Mosque of Dubai. It is the tallest mosque in Dubai and it's height is 70m (231ft). It is a good learning experience for me because it is a holy mosque. For me, it is an advantage for me as I am muslim and I can enter the mosque to visit and to do my daily prayers. But it is a sad thing that my chinese friends would not be allowed to enter the mosque as it is a holy building for people to do their prayers.
Camel is so adorable animal. It will be a life-time experience as I have not sat on a camel in my life before. In addition to it, it will not be sitting on camel only but go tour around the desert. This tour will take a trip to local Bedouin village to look at the traditional desert life. I will also get to enjoy the optimum level the Desert Safaris in Dubai with Wadi-Bashing or Sand-Skiing.
The hotel that I will stay during my holiday in Dubai:
A luxury hotel in Dubai called the Burj-Al-Arab. The tallest hotel and distinctive structures in a hotel building in the world. It catches my eye well when I was looking for a hotel to stay during my holiday there. The cost of the hotel range from $1000 - $6000 per night. It is so expensive but it is worth a trying the hotel.
Food for thought in Dubai:
For the food to eat in Dubai, it does not worry me much beacuse it is a muslim country. Therefore all the food is halal and edible for me. Every major international cuisine can be found in Dubai. Just name the cuisine that you want to eat and they have it in Dubai. Some cuisines are American, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Russian and many more.

7th UIR Lesson
This practical 6A&B is all about evaluating a Internet Resource that we did in practical 4&5.
Between, all the three search engine which are Google Search Engine, Metacrawler Search & Yahoo Search, I decided to evaluate on Metacrawler Search. Though this website is new to me, I shall do some critics and give some comments on this website.
First of all, it is an overall good website for a new user like me. It is pretty fun for me to explore about the website and get to know more about it. I have yet to fully explore about it but after reading about the organization of the website and terms of use, I could understand what is all this website all about.
The lesson that I have learnt during this practical is to go search in this website if I want to get the accurate and relevant information that I am searching. It is all because it searches for the relevant information from all the search engines. I can say that this website is a trustworthy website.

6th UIR Lesson
Our practical 4&5 is all about research on the same topics that we are assigned. It is all about searching with a correct technique of searching and also the correct keywords to use.
We need to search by using the same keywords in three search engine. Search engine that I used for searching the keywords are
Google Search Engine,
Yahoo Directory &
Metacrawler Search Engine.
Here are the keywords used by me for searching:Keywords: Impact of terrorism on world economy.
Search Phrases: (Terrorism OR Terror Campaign) AND (World OR Glob*) AND (Economy OR Market)
With this search phrases, it helps me to search the correct and relevant topics. After much searching using the same search phrases for all three search engine, each search engine have their advantages and disadvantages of themselves.
I was impressed about the Yahoo Directory and Metacrawler Search Engine. As for Yahoo Directory, I did not used it often and donot know the function about so well. After doing this practical, it helps me to understand better about this Directory categories in Yahoo Search.
Another search engine I was shocked about is Metacrawler Search Engine. I did not know that this search engine exists. In this search engine, the functions is much better than the other search engine. There are more functions in it and also it filters the best and relevant search results from all over the search engine.
To me, all the three search engine is very user friendly and good for me to research on the topics I need to research on. After much comparisons between all the three search engines, the most preferred and suitable search engine for me is Google Search Engine. Even though the number of hits is large, it helps me to physically filter the relevant search results for my search. Lastly, Google Search is more established and well-known search engine.

5th UIR Lesson
It has been very hectic time for UIR. Eveything was rushing for me and I managed to cope with it and handle it professionally.
Basically, in this practical lesson, we were asked to study the internet resources that we have done in practical 2. It was pretty fun because the topic I'm doing is all about terrorism and how it impact the economy and the people around the world.
After much studying on the resources that I have found, I've learnt much about terrorist, their activities, their next mission and many more about terrorism.
Basically, the
purposes about the website that I have been researched on is all about
information on terrorist,
news on latest terrorist activities,
personal things about terrorist and lastly about
advocacy on whether they agreed on the topic that is being discussed.
Before I end this post, I have learnt the dangerous about terrorist, impact on our people and also affect the world's economy. This is bad because everyone in the world has been badly affected by the terrorist be it physically or mentally. Therefore, we should stop terrorist before they harm more to us.
